‘Double’ to present Iran at Female Eye Filmfest

The 17th Female Eye Film Festival (FeFF) in Canada is to host Iran short film ‘Double’.

The 17th edition of the Female Eye Film Festival (FeFF) in Canada is to host Iran short film ‘Double’.

Directed by Ronak Jafari, the 26-minute ‘Double’ revolves around two women who face several events on a rural road.

Sahra Asadollahi, Banafsheh Araabi, Houman Rahnamoun, Toufan Mehrdadian, Alireza Pourhashem, Behnam Momeni, Shima Khazaei, Dorsa Abolfazli, and Amir Shahverdi are among the cast team.

‘Double’ has gone on screen at a number of global film events, including the 2019 CoSM Women’s Visionary Film Symposium in the US, the 17th ONE SHOT Film Festival in Armenia, and the 40th Moscow International Film Festival in Russia where it has been named among the three best short films.

The short has also received two nominations at the North Europe International Film Festival "Fusion" and attended the 8th ÍRÁN:CI Film Festival in the Czech Republic as well as the 8th Annual Irvine Film Festival in the US.

Established in 2001, the Female Eye Film Festival (FeFF) is a competitive international film festival established in 2001. It is Toronto’s only international film festival geared specifically for women directors.

The upcoming edition of the film event will be held in Toronto on November 7-10, 2019.
